For those of you bemoaning Scarsdale real estate taxes, check out what your neighbors in Edgemont are paying. Here are just a few listings of comparably priced houses on the market in Scarsdale and Edgemont, with the real estate taxes for each.
When you list your home, the goal of your real estate agent is to get the maximum number of qualified potential buyers to view your home. Of course, not at the expense of safety! That is why most brokers in Scarsdale are using Electronic Lockboxes. Unlike mechanical lockboxes, electronic lockboxes require a user-specific access card only available to real estate professionals who are members of the Westchester Putnam MLS to access the keys inside. Use of the card allows the lockbox to record the identity of the person accessing the box for every visit. Each card user has their own personal code they must use each time they insert their card to allow access to the lockbox. This prevents the finder of a lost card from using a lockbox to enter a home. Cardholders must recharge their card every three days. When a card is recharged, data is transmitted to a central database and can be accessed by the listing office. Using an electronic lockbox allows a listing agent to make it convenient for all agents to show your home to prospective buyers, thereby maximizing the number of showings while maintaining a detailed account of everyone who has used the key stored in the lockbox.
