The village budget is chronically underfunded for road repair. Part of why this happens Bruce, is that organizations like the Scarsdale Forum relentlessly push for a program of tax minimization and eventually, our public officials judgement is effected. We get what we pay for. If you want better roads, offer to open up your check book. Make the statement, as I have, that you will pay more in taxes for better roads. Or, suggest what part of the budget be cut to fund more road repair/maintenance. Otherwise, anyone seeking better roads is just a complainer offering no solutions. Of course, in the case of anything related to the village budget, a proper budget for road repairs is simply a matter of trustee will. The public doesn't vote on the village budget. The trustees can spend as they sit fit. The roads are a complete embarrassment to all residents.
