Finally, a kindred spirit as I too am a triathlete widow. Like you, it most definitely did not start that way 20+ years ago. The training really introduces your relationship to realms of patience and understanding many will never know. I am also my Husband's number one fan and while I've considered from time to time what it might be like to be married to someone who doesn't cycle up and down Bear Mountain or compete in 24 hour Urban Adventure Races just for "fun", I realized I would be missing out on our what's become own adventure.
