Biden Visits Scarsdale

Biden2It’s been some week for Scarsdale. It began with a coke-crazed burglar on a spree through Greenacres, followed by two sightings of a bobcat in a local backyard – and ended with a visit from Vice President Joe Biden.

Scarsdale10583 got several alerts on Thursday afternoon from residents who were snarled in traffic. The southbound Hutch was closed as well as parts of Saxon Woods Road and Mamaroneck Road. Some wondered if all the police activity was due to another crime spree. But no!

It turns out that Vice President Joe Biden had flown in on Air Force 2 and landed at Westchester Airport around 5:30 pm on Thursday, headed for a fundraiser at a Park Road home in Scarsdale. His motorcade travelled down to Scarsdale and headed west on Mamaroneck Road, which was closed to local traffic.

Some residents who live on Mamaroneck Road were outside when Biden’s entourage passed by – and were impressed with the display of motorcycles, Biden1limos , Westchester County Police, secret service and even an ambulance. They spotted Biden reading in the backseat of his car and waved.

Park Road was blocked off and there was heavy security around the house. The event was held to raise money for the Obama campaign and the price tag was rumored to be $1,000 per person. According to an attendee at the Park Road event Biden spoke with confidence about why Obama would be re-elected and also told the group about the personal friendship that has developed between himself and the President. Biden said he’s become like Obama’s “older brother.”

VP Biden flies to Scrasdale for a fund raising even for re-election using Air Force 2. roads are closed, our police are utilized to so does the town get paid for providing a service? and who pays for all this is this taxpayer money or charged to the re-election committee for Obama/Biden?
In the least the town should be paid for providing a service

So sad to see successful, intelligent people donating -- and voting -- against their own interests. Scarsdale is full of lawyers, financial folks, and Jews -- and no administration in recent memory has trashed the law/constitution...attacked the financial industry...and tuned their back on Jews and Israel the way the Obama/Biden administration has. Shame!

I have a question...why did Biden come to Scarsdale....is it because he is white and this is definitely a non-diverse community....once again...hypocrisy! Wake up Scarsdale....Obamo does not represent us....he only wants our financial campaign support! Once elected...we will face additional taxes hidden in his healthcare policy! On another note...as a woman/mom...I do not fear for my " reprotective rights"....whatever happened to Roe vs Wade? smilies/angry.gif

In response to "reality check"....Obamo's underlying political views...."tax the rich to give to the poor"....who does he think he is....Robin Hood?! Beware of all the hidden agendas in his so called healthcare policy....if they come to fruition....I will be one of those "poor" who won't be able to live in Scarsdale anymore! The Obamos make much more money than I do....his concept of what constitutes "rich" is so unrealistic! Perhaps he should focus on changing the tax laws that affect the truly wealthy , wealthy rich in this country.

I definitely agree with the comment written by "no to socialism"....also check out the Obamo tax return...I don't see him hurting for money...he is such a hypocrite! The only thing he has succeeded in accomplishing is creating a racial divide in this country and now it seems that another divide is brewing ( due to comments made by Ms. Rosen, an influential political supporter of Obamo) working moms vs.stay at home moms!

Isn't it funny how obama and biden say they are against all businessmen, and yet they are happy to come to scarsdale and take their money for the campaign?
